The oracle's guidance was invaluable to ancient cultures. The oracular priestess was sought for her wisdom across all aspects of life from religious to political and the same personal problems plaguing us today. 

She was powerful not because of what she saw, but because of what she spoke. She was a prophetess, speaking the divine revelations the gods. Some say she spoke indirectly, that her utterances were ambiguous riddles but the language of the gods is not so easily understood. It's felt and seen, its meaning needs to be worked for and isn't for those wanting shortcuts. So, even if the truth didn't quite make sense to those around her, she spoke it anyway. 

In light, we have the Pythia at Delphi, through whom Apollo was said to have spoken. Pythia was trusted and revered across ancient Greece for her predictions. In shadow, we have Cassandra, who despite the accuracy of her predictions was cursed to never be believed by the same god, Apollo. But the oracle doesn't care what others think, they speak the words of the gods. 

This lip salve was crafted to help remind you of the power your words have, especially when they are as authentic and truthful as the gods demanded of their oracles. We've grown too accustomed to silencing ourselves to ensure the comfort of others while ignoring our own discomfort. It's a reminder to always speak your truth. To have tact, consideration, and care in how you word your truth, but to never silence your voice. 

This lip salve is a ritual of affirming your voice, applying it and reminding yourself of the power you hold by simply speaking your truth.

The Practical

Oracular Lip Salve is silky and deeply moisturizing while helping to soothe chapped lips. It has a slight chocolate scent but is essentially unscented, all natural and actually helps keep lips looking nourished and healthy with continued use (and proper hydration, of course!). It's the perfect consistency, not too slippery or too waxy but gives lips a nice glow. 

A blend of avocado and sunflowers oils in beeswax, shea and cocoa butter to nourish dehydrated lips.
